Scholarship Otho Mathias Endowment

In memory of Otho Mathias, a scholarship fund was established by his brother, Emer A. Mathias. Otho Mathias, was born in Mancelona on March 12, 1912. He graduated with the Mancelona High School class of 1931 and the Antrim County Normal class of 1932. For the next five years he taught in Antrim County country schools. During that time he was active with 4-H leadership roles and in pursuing his education at Michigan State University.

Scholarship Requirements: 

• Recipient must be a graduating senior from Mancelona High School or a previous recipient of the scholarship. 
• Recipient should be pursuing or planning to pursue a college degree in Education
