Biography
With a decade of experience in writing, editing, and communications, Kristina has held professional roles across the nonprofit sector and online media space, including with Kids’ Orchestra, the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, and One Green Planet. She joined the staff of the Community Foundation in 2021. She holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Writing, both from Grand Valley State University.
Kristina volunteers with Elk Rapids Community Cupboard, Housing North, and Up North Pride. A daughter of Croatian immigrants, she was born and raised in Metro Detroit by way of Croatia. She called Louisiana home for a time and now resides in Williamsburg, sharing her life with her husband, David; two rescue cats named Stella and Luna; and Daisy; and a happy-go-lucky pit bull adopted from Kalkaska County Animal Control.
