Biography

Missy was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. Missy and her family moved to Traverse City in May 2010 and fell in love with the area, taking advantage of all that Grand Traverse County and surrounding areas have to offer and the opportunity to raise her family here.

Missy joined the Community Foundation in May 2026. As a member of 100+ Women Who Care Grand Traverse and Leelanau County, Missy has had the opportunity to learn about the positive impact that numerous organizations provide in the area. Joining the Community Foundation further strengthens her desire to support many organizations and help the community in different areas.

Favorite Places in the Region

“There are so many wonderful places I love across the region. My favorite place during the summer is having fun with family and friends boating on Long Lake. When I’m not on the lake, you’ll find me hiking or biking one of the numerous trails in the area, such as the TART trail.”
