The Kalkaska Citizen of the Year, Kimberly Cotton and the Kalkaska Business of the Year, Sunday Morning Flowers owned by Leah Cox, will be honored at the 56th Annual Kalkaska Luncheon on April 21 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at Railroad Square Pavilion in downtown Kalkaska, kicking off the National Trout Festival celebration.
The event will also feature speakers from Networks Northwest, the Community Foundation, and Kalkaska Memorial Hospital, with remarks from DTE Energy Foundation and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
The event is hosted by the Community Foundation and sponsored by DTE Energy Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Farrier Surveying, Forest Area Credit Union, Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region, Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, Kalkaska Public Schools, Northland Foods, Traverse Connect, Trout Town Tavern & Eatery, and Woodland Creek Furniture.
Event registration is $20 per person and includes lunch and refreshments. Table sponsorships are now sold out.
The Community Foundation covers the cost of the Kalkaska Luncheon so that 100% of event registrations and sponsorships can directly support the Endowment for Kalkaska Area, a permanent fund dedicated to supporting the people and places in the Kalkaska community.
All additional donations support the Endowment's growth, furthering community benefit.
