Since moving to Traverse City in 2019, Jerry Ring has become a committed champion of the Community Foundation’s mission. Through board service, dedicated giving, and the creation of the Jerold and Catharine Ring Endowment, Jerry supports efforts that advance equity, strengthen nonprofits, and build long‑term community resilience.
Legacy Society
Leaving a Lasting Impression
Our Community Guardian Legacy Society honors community-minded individuals and couples who are dedicated to making a long-term investment in our region.
We work with our Community Guardians to ensure that their gifts are sustainable and that future generations benefit from their legacy of giving.
Together, we're leaving a lasting impression on our region.
Becoming a Community Guardian
When you decide to leave a legacy gift for your community, all you need to do is notify us of your intention to include the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation as a beneficiary of your estate plan, will, or bequest.
In doing so, you will become a member of our Community Guardian Legacy Society, joining a community of legacy givers supporting the people and places of our region for generations to come.
To notify us, please complete and return a Community Guardian Legacy Society Designation Form or contact our Senior Manager of Development and Planned Giving, Pam Amundsen at pamundsen@gtrcf.org or (231) 935-4066 ext. 101.
By including the Community Foundation in their will, Bill and Mary Smith are ensuring their love for this region continues to have an impact for generations.
John and Rebecca Bercini found more than a new home in Northern Michigan—they found purpose. Learn how their journey led to a lasting commitment through the Community Foundation’s Legacy Society.
