The Grand Traverse Families in Action, an organization that was committed to serving youth and helping young people avoid substance abuse and violence, made a gift to establish the endowment in 2000. Though no longer an organization, the mission and vision of the organization continues through Grand Traverse Families in Action for Youth Endowment.
