Urgent Needs Fund
Launched in March 2020, the Urgent Needs Fund brought in nearly $1 million in gifts and supported close to $1 million in grants to 75 organizations across Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau Counties that have worked with individuals and families disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Partners receiving grant support included health and human services, arts, culture, and environmental organizations as well as governmental and Tribal entities. Discover how our Urgent Need Fund partners used their grant awards to support individuals, families, and communities across our five-county region.
The Urgent Needs Fund received initial funding from the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, Oleson Foundation, Rotary Charities of Traverse City, United Way of Northwest Michigan, DTE Foundation, Herrington-Fitch Family Foundation, and Huckle Family Foundation.
Additional support was committed by the Art and Mary Schmuckal Family Foundation, Brookby Foundation, the Beers Family Foundation, Cherryland Cares, Consumers Energy Foundation, Grand Traverse County, Frey Foundation, HP Foundation, Les and Anne Biederman Foundation, Team Elmers, and many generous individuals like you across our five-county region.
While the Urgent Needs Fund is now closed, we invite you to contact Steve Wade, Vice President of Community Impact to learn about funding opportunities for emerging needs in the communities you serve.
