As your Community Foundation, we partner with you to fulfill your philanthropic interests and intent. With approximately 300 existing charitable funds, and the opportunity to create a new fund, we have many ways for you to give now and begin to experience the joy of watching your philanthropic dollars at work.
GIFTS OF CASH
A cash gift is the simplest way to give. You are eligible for a charitable tax deduction that will provide you with savings on this year’s tax return.
- Donate Online. Make a secure online gift to an existing fund.
- Mail a Check. Community Foundation, 233 Lake Avenue, Suite B, Traverse City, MI 49684. Make your check payable to the Community Foundation with the fund to which you are giving noted in the memo line.
GIFTS OF STOCKS AND BONDS
A gift of your securities, including stocks and bonds, is an easy way for you to make a gift. By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying the capital gains taxes that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets.
