Anchor and Heart Endowment Awards Over $100K

The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation’s Anchor and Heart Endowment has awarded a $109,000 grant to Munson Healthcare Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital, supporting a variety of upgrades.
The grant will allow Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital to modernize its long-term care multipurpose room, enhance patient safety and efficiency through Pyxis software upgrades, improve patient stability during transport with advanced BiPAP solutions, modernize lobby spaces to enhance comfort and accessibility, and modernize the furniture in the emergency department and acute chair units to better support patient and visitor comfort.
“This meaningful gift from the Anchor and Heart Endowment is a powerful affirmation of our mission to provide superior quality care close to home,” said Kelly Tomaszewski, President and CEO of Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. “These upgrades will directly enhance the comfort, safety, and dignity of our patients and their families, and we are deeply grateful for this continued partnership.”
Over the last 18 years, the Community Foundation’s Anchor and Heart Endowment has awarded more than $1.4 million in grants to Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. Grant decisions are made by the endowment’s fund advisory committee, which is made up of Bill Fisk, Beth McNamara, Nancy Meek, Courtney Morris, John Vinkemolder, and Suzy Voltz.
“With more than $3.1 million in assets, we’re proud to steward the Anchor and Heart Endowment to support the health needs of Benzie County, now and for generations to come,” said Steve Wade, Vice President of Community Impact at the Community Foundation.
