Leave a Lasting Impression.  Here's How.

Environmental and Conservation Candidate Forum Coming to Grand Traverse County

Residents of Grand Traverse County will soon have the chance to ask Michigan House of Representatives candidates for the 104th district about their stances on environmental and conservation issues.

Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation is partnering with Michigan Environmental Council to host an environmental forum for the 104th House district from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 on Zoom. County residents can join the forum by registering for free at environmentalcouncil.org/events_104. No Zoom account is needed.

Moderator Dave Mengebier, president and CEO of the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, will ask the candidates their stances or plans on numerous issues, from water quality and protection, to public lands, to public health. Attendees may then ask their own questions.

All three candidates from the district, which entirely covers Grand Traverse County, have been invited. As of July 13, Democrat Dan O’Neil and Republican John Roth are confirmed. Once the Aug. 4 primary election concludes, O’Neil and the Republican winner of the primary will vie for the seat left open by term-limited Rep. Larry Inman.

What impression will you make? Let's give it forward, together.
