Nominations are now open for the Kalkaska Business and Citizen of the Year Awards, a 51-year tradition in Kalkaska County honoring a resident for their civic involvement and a local business for their outstanding service.

The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation is accepting award nominations from Kalkaska area residents through April 10. Nominations can be submitted via this online form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2022KalkaskaAwards.

The 2022 Kalkaska Community Awards—an event to celebrate the award winners that is taking the place of the annual luncheon—will be hosted by the Community Foundation on Thursday, June 9 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at Railroad Square in downtown Kalkaska. Registration for the event will be available soon on the Foundation’s website.

“It’s an honor to host the Kalkaska Community Awards and recognize the amazing people and businesses that strengthen and enrich the Kalkaska area community,” said Pam Amundsen, Donor Services Manager at the Community Foundation. “We look forward to celebrating with everyone this June.”
