Logos & Usage

Sharing Your Grant Story

We encourage grant partners to share their grant award news in ways that best fit their audience and mission. Here are some options for where you can share the news:

Cross Promotion

The Community Foundation may share information about your grant in our communications, such as in our newsletter, press releases, donor updates, website, and social media. This may include impact stories, photos, videos, your organization’s logo, and other materials related to your grant.

Grant Award Acknowledgment Messaging

Refer to your grant award letter for how to acknowledge the support in donor listings or communications. The language below provides additional detail you may use. A variety of options are available, depending on the specific grant received.

  • General Reference

  • Community Funds Grants

    “This project/initiative/funding was supported (or partially supported) by a Community Funds grant from the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, designed to be flexible and responsive to a variety of community needs and causes.” 

  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Grants

    “This project/initiative/funding was supported (or partially supported) by a diversity, equity, inclusion grant from the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, made possible through the Foundation’s Endowment for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Diversity Equity Inclusion Fund.”

Promoting Your Organization's Endowment

If you have an organization endowment with us, we invite you to promote it as part of your fundraising and communications strategies to help drive both support and awareness. Use the resources below to share your endowment with your audience and to engage your donors in giving.

  • Share Your Endowment with Your Audience
    • Share how your organization’s endowment supports your mission.
    • Add a short message about your endowment in newsletters, annual reports, on your website and on social media.
    • Use real-life examples of how your endowment funding has made a difference.
    • Highlight the benefits of having an endowment and why giving to it is important, such as that an endowment provides funding forever to your organization year-after-year and that an endowment lives on for your organization, supporting your organization’s mission, even as your staff or board may change.
    • Ask your donors to support your endowment by sharing a donation link. Specific endowment donation pages can be found here using the search bar or by clicking “Additional Funds” at the bottom of the page.
  • Engage Your Donors
    • Host events or donor spotlights that celebrate endowment supporters.
    • Share testimonials from donors who’ve contributed to your endowment.
    • Share impact stories to motivate donors and show that their endowment contributions are making a difference.
