Carson Needham Memorial Scholarship Endowment

"Carson was a leader that would bring everyone together," said his mom, Cristy. "He made time for everyone and when anyone needed a drummer, he'd step up."

The Carson Needham Memorial Scholarship Endowment supports a graduating senior from Traverse City Central High School that is passionate about music and percussion, demonstrates leadership, and has the trust and respect of their peers. Preference is for a student that is part of drumline, jazz band, or pursuing a music related major or career.

Carson himself was the recipient of scholarship support when he graduated high school.

"He took so much pride in the scholarship he received. He hadn't yet been accepted anywhere for college, but he knew he wanted to go and figuring out the financial part was tough," shared his dad, Dave. "Receiving the scholarship was a huge confidence boost and made a difference to Carson."
