With nearly 100 scholarships available, the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation has a variety of opportunities open to graduating high school seniors, current college students, and vocational/trade school students from across Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau County.

From regionally-available scholarships benefiting students from a variety of local schools to nearly 40 opportunities for students specifically attending Traverse City Area Public Schools, applicants may qualify for several different opportunities.

“This year, we’ve launched a new scholarship portal, including a new general scholarship application,” said Gina Thornbury, senior community impact manager at the Community Foundation. “We hope the general application will help streamline the application process for students and more clearly identify which scholarship opportunities they are eligible for.”

Last year, the Community Foundation awarded 221 scholarships to 186 students across the region, totaling more than $340,000. Scholarship applications for 2023 are available online and due on March 1, unless otherwise noted. Some scholarships may require a separate application or supplemental materials. For more information, visit www.gtrcf.org/scholarships/apply.

Community Foundation staff are available to provide guidance to students and families on scholarship eligibility; questions are welcome at scholarships@gtrcf.org or by calling (231) 935-4066.
