Grantmaking

Field of Interest funds make grants through a grant application process.

Advisory committees to each fund review the applications and recommend the grants to be awarded by the board of directors of the Community Foundation.

Grant applications are typically accepted twice a year, during a spring grant cycle and during a fall grant cycle.

Spring Grant Cycle

• February 1 - April 15
• Primarily scholarship and school or education related funds

Fall Grant Cycle

• August 15 - November 1
• Primarily grants to benefit human services and some environmental funds
• Applications for grants recommended by our Youth Advisory Councils (YAC) from our Youth Services Endowment Fund are available during this cycle
