Scholarship Center
At the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation there are more
than 60 scholarship funds dedicated to post secondary
education.

page.
Jack
Edward Allen Memorial Scholarship February 20 -
March 23, 2009 Grand Traverse County Available to
graduating seniors from a Traverse City High School (Central, West, St. Francis,
TC Christian) and who have attained the Eagle Scout ranking from the Boy Scouts
of America and are planning to attend college or a technical program.
Barney
and Renie Barber Trade Scholarship Fund March 2 -
April 10, 2009 Kalkaska and Antrim County Available
to graduating seniors from Kalkaska or Mancelona High Schools who are planning
to attend a vocational or trade school to pursue a program related to the
building trade.
Bellaire School Scholarship
Fund March 4 - April 10,
2009 Antrim County Scholarships are available for
seniors graduating from Bellaire High School who are planning to attend Michigan
State University and/or are an art student.
Benzie
Central Science Scholarship Not Available in
2009 Benzie County Available to graduating students
from Benzie Central High School who plan to pursue higher education in the
science field and are in need of financial assistance. Applicants must have
shown an expressed interest in science and have also excelled in the field.

Brisson Memorial Scholarship February 20 - March 23,
2009 Regional Intended for students from
Traverse City High Schools or for students who live within the five counties of
Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau and have played in a
soccer league, whether school or community related, and have an avid passion for
soccer and life.

Bruce Memorial Scholarship March 2 - April 10,
2009 Benzie County Available to graduating seniors
from Benzie or Frankfort High Schools who are planning to pursue post secondary
education.
Buckley
Schools Marie Guyton Scholarship March 4 - April 10,
2009 Grand Traverse County Three scholarships will
be awarded each year to seniors at Buckley Community Schools planning to attend
an accredited college, university or trade school. The Marie Guyton
Valedictorian Scholarship, Eleanor Smith Salutatorian Scholarship,
and Marie Guyton Leadership Scholarship. No application will be necessary
for students to qualify for the Marie Guyton Valedictorian and Eleanor Smith
Salutatorian scholarships, as the scholarships will be awarded to the
valedictorian and salutatorian of each senior class at Buckley Community
Schools. The Marie Guyton Leadership Scholarship application will be available
each spring.
Camp
Roy-El Scholarship March 2 - April 10,
2009 Grand Traverse County Available to juniors and
seniors currently completing undergraduate degrees at Michigan based colleges
and universities with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must be pursuing a
profession dedicated to working with persons with disabilities. Possible fields
may include allied health, nursing, medicine, occupational therapy and physical
therapy or students in social work and special education. Previous applicants
are eligible to apply again.
Central
Lake School District Educational Fund/Osborne Scholarship
March 20 - April 15, 2009 Antrim
County Provide flexible funds to support non-operational educational
opportunities for the Central Lake School district area residents outside of the
public school and/or with the public school system. These opportunities may
include educational programs; scholarships; technology and arts equipment needed
for classroom activities; and mini grants to support teachers.
Suzanne
Cline-Walthour Memorial Scholarship March 5 - April
10, 2009 Antrim County Available to graduating
seniors from Elk Rapids High School with preference for, but not limited to,
students planning to pursue an elementary education degree or planning to attend
Ferris State.
Helen
and Dale Cropsey Educational Endowment March 4 -
April 10, 2009 Leelanau County Applicants must be a
resident of Suttons Bay or the Bingham area, be attending an accredited post
secondary educational institution in the state of Michigan, and must demonstrate
financial need. Priority will be given to students who are planning to attend
Michigan State University and who attend Immanuel Lutheran Church or First
Lutheran Church, though any graduating senior attending church in Suttons Bay is
encouraged to apply.
Miss
Elk Rapids Scholarship Fund Miss Elk Rapids Pageant
- March 14, 2009 Antrim County Given to support
educational scholarships for the Miss Elk Rapids Pageant award winners. If you

Caro High School who are pursing a post-secondary education.

2009 Regional Available to students from the

2009 Available to direct relatives of those who were involved
with the USS Indianapolis and the rescue of the survivors. Eligible applicants
may include graduating seniors or full- or part-time college students.
